Did You Know That Recycling Ink Cartridges Saves Oil?

Fed Ex delivering recyling package. Results Physical and Occupational Therapy continues to collect old cell phones and ink cartridges at both locations, Bangor and Dexter, in support of America's Schools Recycling Program. We have already filled three boxes and it is barely June!! With the help of our patients and the community drop offs we are well on our way to beating last years 4 boxes! Thank you for all the help!

Recycling ink and toner cartridges is such a great cause; we are helping the planet and benefiting schools. Every cartridge that is discarded in landfills takes over 1,000 years to decompose. Each laser toner cartridge recycled saves three quarts of oil that is required to produce a new cartridge!! With the price of oil at all time highs, this is an easy way to help cut costs and reduce waste. If you know of a local school that would like to be involved and benefit from this program, please contact us at (207) 992-4042 or visit America’s Schools Recycling Program at www.americas-schools.org/recycling to sign up.

The Maine Sting (men’s team) and the Maine Tide (women’s team) practice at Husson College but currently play all home games at Hampden Academy Turf field. Both team-run leagues are highly competitive, yet bring quality soccer to the local community, and act as role models for our youth. Canned Goods Being Collected for Manna Food Drive

Results Physical and Occupational Therapy will have donation boxes set up in our Bangor and Dexter offices to help collect nonperishable food items for the Mike and Mike Manna Food Drive, during the month of November. Please help us ensure that Manna's shelves are well stocked for the holidays!

Remember, hunger happens everyday in Maine. Thousands of Maine citizens lack food security, and many go hungry for periods of time each year. Please support this worthy cause and make a donation of whatever you can!
