Our Fit for the Future Party September 15, 2011 kicked off our fundraiser for Champion the Cure Breast Cancer Awareness! Call (207) 992-4042 to find out how you can join our team to start raising money for breast cancer awareness! August 18, 2012 is the next Champion the Cure Challenge! We challenge you to work out at Results Gym , or any gym of your choosing. Get fit for Champion the Cure Challenge, a 5 or 10K race/walk. Get 10 sponsers at only $5/month and together we can meet our goal of raising $100,000. Be part of the Fit for the Future Team!

What is Champion the Cure Challenge?
Previously named Run for Hope, Champion the Cure Challenge is an annual event that benefits cancer patients at Eastern Maine Medical Center's CancerCare of Maine located in the Lafayette Family Cancer Center in Brewer. This year is the third annual Champion the Cure Challenge.
Where do the benefits go?
100% of the monies raised stay in Maine to directly benefit patients at EMMC's CancerCare of Maine located in the Lafayette Family Cancer Center.
When is the event?
This year’s event will take place on Saturday August 18th, 2012

What events can I participate in?
The Champion the Cure Challenge offers something for everyone! Choose from: a 1k Family Walk, a 5 or 10k walk/run, a 25, 50 or 100 mile bike ride or a 50 mile Motorcycle Ride. Or you may choose to be a Virtual Participant!
Does it cost anything?
It is free to register for the Champion the Cure Challenge, however, participants are asked to meet fundraising minimums to take part.
Family Walk/Run: No Fees
Households with up to two adults and three children ages 8 to 17 are asked to reach a fundraising goal of $175 minimum to participate.
Adult Walk/Run: No Fees
Adults over the age of 18 are asked to reach a fundraising goal of $75 minimum to participate.
Child Walk/Run: No Fees
Children 8-17 years of age that are not a part of a family are asked to reach a fundraising goal of $50 minimum to participate.
Family Cycler: No Fees
Households with up to two adults and three children ages 8 to 17 are asked to reach a fundraising goal of $275 minimum to participate. All riders under the age of 17 must ride with an adult guardian.
Adult Cycler: No Fees
Adults over the age of 18 are asked to reach a fundraising goal of $150 minimum to participate.
Motorcycle Ride: No Fees
Riders are asked to reach a fundraising goal of $75 per rider
Virtual Participant: No Fees
Those who want to participate but are unable to attend must reach a fundraising goal of $50 minimum to participate.
How do I sponsor a participant?
1. Go to the Cure Challenge website (www.championthecurechallenge.org)
2. Click on “Sponsor Participant” on the left-hand column
3. Enter participant’s name
4. Click on the participant’s name that you would like to make a donation to
5. Enter donation amount
6. Complete your personal information
7. Find more people to sponsor or join the team!

Who can participate?
While all are welcome to attend and show support, participants are asked to meet fundraising minimums to take part
Is the event competitive?
The event is non-competitive. Like other similar and respected events, Champion the Cure Challenge promotes an atmosphere in which participants only competition is within. This model echoes the personal challenge of the cancer journey.
