Physical Therapy
Our goal is to eliminate your pain. We do this by providing pain-free treatments, noninvasive manual therapy techniques, and pain-free exercises.
Physical means of or concerning the body.
Therapy is defined as the treatment of physical or mental disorders, other than by surgery or drugs and comes from the Greek word, therapeia, which means healing. Therefore, physical therapy is the treatment of injury, disease, or deformity, by therapeutic (or healing) methods, manual therapy, or hands-on techniques. This includes but is not limited to mobilizations, massage, craniosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, and muscle energy work - these techniques can be used with the aid of modalities such as ultrasound, moist heat, cold packs, and various electrical stimulation devices.
- Physical therapists are qualified to holistically examine a patient, using specific tests and measurements and by spending time with the patient to get a thorough understanding of the patient's health, concerns, and social history.
- Develop treatment plans, goals and objectives.
- Reassess patient progress, based on initial tests and measurements taken as well as the patient's own progress report. It is very important that the patient feels that they are improving and that they see the results - a patient is only truly better when they recognize their own progress.
Our therapist will begin by doing a complete evaluation, to determine a treatment plan and establish goals and objectives that are very specific to your needs. Individualized exercise programs, with education on proper posture and body mechanics, will be developed, and goals, objectives, and techniques will be thoroughly explained, keeping you well informed.
With a physician's prescription, our services are insurance reimbursable, so we will submit bills directly to your insurance company.
Ask your doctor for a prescription to RESULTS or contact us for a free screening and/or consultation. We will review your symptoms and recommend steps that you can take to address your pain.
